If you want me to climb the mountains
Paint them in green , let the trees not cover the grass
Let the sounds of the hyenas in the equatorial not hinder those of the crickets from being heard
Let me breath the firsthand reverse of carbon dioxide deep in my lungs
Let me sing with the birds too in jubiliation
Because only then can I erupt
It is only then that my lava will flow
But be careful if you trying to touch it
Lest you burn your fingers black
I hear that being at Daystar university is heavenly. People like me don’t go there, lest we embarrass ourselves during lunch. In fact, my friend Makori tells me he visited a long time friend of his at Daystar last week.
He says the guy had changed, resembled our president, all bossy, composed and in a well pressed suit with a matching red tie. And no sooner had the clock struck one that this ally of his loudly uttered “Let’s go for high tea!”
I bet Makori embarrassed himself since he refuses to tell me what his answer was but rather stresses that Daystar isn’t for the common mwananchi. He must have explained that he’s only used to normal tea since high tea contains harmful chemicals… To cut this long story short, high tea means lunch!
You see, us comrades in these normal schools remain hopeful despite the…

With him by my side nli mindless
Tangu zile enzi za birikicho tukiwa waless
Sauti yake pekee was enough kuni caress
Alinidrive crazy nakatamani kutie my races nikirace
Sijui when things changed coz tangu zamani
No wind was strong enough to shake us lakini sasa jahazi letu lazama maji
Nikama gari imechukuliwa na a reckless driver
Yet hamjui some bolts ziko loose
Kwa kweli we had no clue
Ati mlipanga kukata keki tangu zamani
That ntakuita auntie before uwe mamangu wa kambo
But mjomba why this now
Its like you don’t feel me
After kula hizo calender zote
Mnataka kukill our hope
I really wanted this to be my best piece
Nikushow am getting married but as your niece
In my heart sina peace
Coz my heart still bleeds
And so nowardays naact ka bendera
nikifuata tu upepo
Am no longer myself is this wasn’t love then haya ni mapepo
I was expecting maximum protection
But now my heart is full of tension
She spit on my face
And you said its shit i have to face
Ati it is always like this is in-laws and so i must face the law
I know your heart breaks
But my heart was already in pieces
And blood is thicker than my tears
And so my dear auntie i will embrace you
By not forcing him to drop his blood
But remember that his tears will forever drop
Because i will not drop down to beg you not to
I……….I will not let my tears drop on your account
Because of that cut cord
I hope no blood drops
TEARS THAT TEAR!!!
- AM NOT GOOD AT KEEPING GIRLFRIENDS
Well on an honest point, am really scared of girls and i don’t know why yet am one. Yes, i mingle with them but trust me it never gets to a close point like chatting or hooking up sometime. As at now the only girl who can claim to know me a lot is my childhood buddy Njics and we meet or chat once in a blue moon but i like her because she is already used to my friendship style considering the fact that we are cities apart. My touring buddy Lucy we only make tour arrangements visit new places take photos and go back to our lives until next time.
2. AM A GOOD COPY ARTIST
Ever since i can remember i drew cartoons from my favorite cartoon shows, newspapers, magazines or even packages. Actually i really thought anyone can draw until when i first got into my Geography class and everybody wanted me to draw the maps for them. It felt nice to be able to do something others thought was challenging at ease. I can remember auditioning for my high school creative arts club,i drew a cartoon falling from a tree, i had spotted this drawing in particular from a certain magazine. To my surprise it secured me an entry.I thought it was the beginning of something new; we did woodwork i.e calligraphy on wood and was about to begin painting when i changed my high school. Now i don’t know the potential if there was ever any in being a copy artist since my next school didn’t have an art club.
3. AM A FAST SWIMMER
By the time i was young my family did not have lots of money to spend on recreation and so we had to content with visiting parks and going out just for lunch when time allowed. When i got to my second high school there was this club for swimmers that i couldn’t join even if i wanted to. I always thought to myself that swimming was for the rich since i hadn’t stepped into a swimming pool i thought they paid lump-sums to enjoy this only for me to enquire and find out that one could actually swim for as low as 100 bob. This was after my high school, i went for my first swim at Buru 1 primary school of which i spent the whole time one corner until some guy came to my rescue. I went through his hands to become the swimmer i am today. Am totally grateful to this guy Brian because he actually saved my life. One year down the line i moved to coast where i became a sea friend. Swimming here at the coast is completely inevitable and so one day i went to the beach all by myself. While swimming i made a friend with whom we began to swim deeper into the blue waters in a mode of competition for enjoyment. I wasn’t used to the waves so when they hit us he held me up and then refused to let me go. This is one of the most dangerous moments of my life,i tried to scream but he dipped my head into the water making me drink from the salt saturated water that only left my throat soar.i couldn’t fight him because he was stronger than me but when the waves hit us again he leg go and i took my chances to swim ashore. Trust me even today i don’t know how i swam from all those yards to the shore.
4. I LOVE LUXURY
I save up big time just to visit luxurious hotels; sample their food, get queenly treatment for a day, enjoy a good swim, bask in their beaches and take photos. Thats just me and since i met Lucy whom we share this in common its ever getting better.I know that in the near future i will comfortably visit any luxurious hotel without feeling the pinch.Neither will i have to save up a whole month to get a certain dress, clutch bag,SHOES or whatever i desire.
5. AM EVER SMILING
Smiling has always been my way of showing gratitude for whatever is on my plate. You will hardly catch me with a frown y face, someone ever told me that i would even smile at a common housefly. I always laugh at the thought but why stay unhappy rejoice always, i believe there is always a reason to be happy. For example even when am sick in bed i still smile at the fact that am not yet dead and so i should be happy for the chance to be alive.A wise lady once told me that the most unhappy people in the world are those who try to change those things that cannot be changed. Am not one of them, i live my life as chanced.
6. AM BOSSY
Am the first and only girl in the family of three, and so guessing from this fact am used to giving instructions, roles and assigning duties to my younger brothers. I guess this is how i grew to become bossy. You either do as i wish or you get to my wrong side which you won’t enjoy getting to know. I know am not much of a perfectionist unless it comes to cleaning the house. At times i prefer to do things myself rather than make someone do them to the least of my expectations. Surprisingly at the age of twenty i was already successfully managing a workshop full of male workers. Unbelievable right ?
7. AM CREATIVE
Oh, yes i am. I can make my own jewellery, design my hair, redesign my own clothes you can trust me when i tell you the list is endless. Back in my high school days i was given the title IDEALIST by other students. If you want an honest opinion over anything and an idea to improve anything don’t hesitate to ask me. I think my curious nature has contributed verily to this. I have always been willing to try new things no matter their outcome.
8. AM SELFLESS
Have you ever found yourself wondering why you care too much about not hurting other people? I can only hope am not alone in this confusion.
9. I APPRECIATE ART
I wonder how many of you notice that art down your streets. I notice, i see the beauty and life given by every artist in their DRAWINGS. Only artists give justice to nature, and only they paint the world as God created it. Only they know the definition of true BEAUTY!
10. AM A DAMN GO GETTER
How many of us have to start a a speech with telling the crowd who we are? Many right? I Muthoni want to stand in front of a crowd someday and i will not start by my name. It is this little things in life that we fail to notice that make others get noticed. This motivate me to work smart and let my work market itself.
11. I LOVE MY HATS
Am one of the few girls who dream of riding horses in some ranch in the great Rift valley some years down the line in; cowy boots, jeans ,a tshirt and a straw hat. That cowboy chic who keeps her hat close.
12. I LOVE MY LIPSTICK
If its black then my red strawberry will do unless i need some shade under dark maroon and if its crazy then its pink. Simply smoking lipstick not outrageously shouting but glamorous!
13. AM BEAUTIFUL
Every woman is a queen , every girl is a princess and every woman is the queen’s mother. Beauty is boldness. If you believe you are beautiful then you have a high self esteem and you fight for what you believe in without letting anyone intimidate you.
14. I STILL HAVE MY BABY FACE
Don’t call me baby just yet……..
16. I LOVE MY MAKE UP SIMPLE
There is something about simplicity and sophistication. Sophisticated ladies love their make up simple because they are confident about their beauty and only apply make up to highlight what they believe already exists. Again don’t concentrate too much on looking good and forget that true beauty lies in one’s SOUL!
17.I LOVE MY PHOTOS
Just anywhere with anyone doing anything in anything. It doesn’t matter am ready for ONE! I love preserving moments.
18. I LOVE MY BOOTY SHORTS
I love my legs and i don’t shy a way from showing them off.Don’t misunderstand me am not bragging your legs look as good as mine too.And if i could wear a booty short everywhere without attracting weird stares trust me i would.
19. AM IN LOVE WITH COLOUR BLUE
Recently i was invited for a camp party and the dress code was jungle green.Trust me, i had to shop for it. Its one of those moments i notice that half of all my clothes are blue or have a shade of blue. Are you also wondering what colour are most of your clothes? A friend of mine told me that your best colour also says a lot about your personality. I hear those who love red are romantic. What about those who are crazy about blue?
20. AM STILL DATING MY FIRST BOYFRIEND
I bet most of you are already telling stories about how your first love was right? And so i should count myself lucky because i still have him right? Its been five years and am still crazy about him. I pray so hard that i will never have to make him a character in any of the stories i will tell in future. Thanks for keeping it real BOO!!!
I thought you were my angel
My living dream, my desire
With you i found all the good i sought
The peace and tranquility i only so much read in books
And this wrong feeling felt so right
I guess its my sweet nightmare version
Only that my story is real
I found my found prince charming
Who slipped through my soapy fingers
Into the arms of another woman
And now my tears cant stop flowing
My heart bleeds!!!!
